A Raffle, a Book Exchange, and Other Launch Party Details
Our official launch party is coming up on Tuesday, January 29, 7:30 PM, at Brothers Brewery, and we thought we'd let you know about some of the bookish fun we have planned to go along with the readings from Roxanna Bennett and Gary Barwin.
First, we'll have a bring-a-book-take-a-book table, so be sure to bring along that book you think everyone should read. That way you can go home with the book everyone thinks you should read.
We'll also be holding a raffle (you get a ticket just for coming, but you can buy more if you want to improve your odds). The grand prize will be a free pre-order of our Fall 2019 Bundle, which includes Roxanna Benentt's Unmeaningable, Tom Prime and Gary Barwin's A Cemetery for Holes, and Danny Jacobs' Sourcebooks for Our Drawings.
Other prizes will include some great books by Guelph authors, just to shout out our local talent and the presses that publish them:
- Adam Lindsay Honsinger's Somewhere North of Normal (Enfield & Wizenty)
- Allison LaSorda's Stray (Gooselane Editions)
- Marianne Micros' Eye (Guernica Editions)
- Karen Smythe's This Side of Sad (Gooselane Editions)
There will be food too, and some cool postcards of our Fall 2019 titles, and great brews for sale right there where it's made.
You're all welcome. Hope to see you there.
